China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will actively participate in the formulation of international standards in the field of origin
The ICC Certificate of Origin Council began preparing the ICC World Chamber of Commerce Certificate of Origin Certification Chain project in 2011 and officially launched it in June 2012。The certificate of origin issued by the member chambers of the certification chain will carry the ICC certification mark, which will be easier to identify and accept by the importing country and facilitate the customs clearance of enterprises。It is understood that the International Chamber of Commerce will also establish a certificate of origin verification website based on the certification chain to facilitate the customs of importing countries to inquire the authenticity of the certificate of origin。At present, this work has been strongly supported and recognized by the World Customs Organization and national Chamber of commerce organizations, and many countries such as France, Britain, South Korea and Singapore have joined。
The Association has successfully joined the Certificate of Origin certification chain system of the International Chamber of Commerce on May 16, 2013, which means that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will fully participate in the formulation of international standards and coordination of international practices in the field of origin, carry out international exchanges and cooperation on behalf of the Chinese industrial and commercial community, and effectively safeguard China's economic and trade interests。
Jean Guy Carriere, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, announced that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has become a member of the International Certificate of Origin Certification Committee, the decision-making and recommendation body of the certification chain。She says，As a member of the Certificate of Origin Council of the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the International Chamber of Commerce, CCPIT has been ranking first among member chambers in terms of the number of certificates of origin for many consecutive years，After joining the authentication chain，The ICC certification mark will be used on general Certificates of Origin and electronic Certificates of Origin to be launched in the second half of this year，And will fulfil the obligations set forth in the Letter of Commitment and the Protocol，Ensure that visa procedures comply with international standards。

Certificate of origin is a document issued by a specific institution of the exporting country to prove that the goods concerned are of origin in that country (or region)。In August 2009, in line with the implementation of the national Free Trade area strategy, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade began to issue regional preferential certificates of origin, and has issued the Asia-Pacific, China-New Zealand, China-Singapore, China-Peru, China-Costa Rica free trade Area and ECFA certificates of origin。The number of general certificate of origin in the national trade promotion system accounts for more than 60% of the country, which not only promotes the self-implementation of the national free trade area strategy, but also changes the situation of under-utilization of preferential policies in China's free trade area, and enables the majority of foreign trade enterprises to fully obtain greater benefits from the preferential rules of origin in the free trade area。
